What happened

Returning from feeding rabbits, Evelyn saw a silvery disc and called Paul, who took two photos. Life ran them on June 26, 1950. Condon Committee investigator William Hartmann wrote that it was one of the few cases where all factors appeared consistent with "an extraordinary flying object, silvery, metallic, disk-shaped, tens of meters in diameter." He also acknowledged that a model hung from the overhead wires was possible. Robert Sheaffer and a 2013 IPACO study argue the object hangs from the power lines and is a small model.
