What happened

AFP reported that the young man saw a red, elongated object like a large cigar hanging motionless and silent at low altitude over the river. A dark oval disc with a red dome and a bright halo dropped from it, flew over the bridge, climbed and vanished, and was replaced by another. The "carousel" lasted about 45 minutes. The engineer, driving on the RN 182, reported the same lights. Paris-Presse noted that some scientists suggested car headlights reflected on layers of air.
