What happened
The hunters watched a metallic cigar, "similar to duralumin" and about 2 m long by their estimate, flying at high altitude in a series of large S-curves. It was one of many "cigar" reports in the peak weeks of the 1954 French wave. Not to be confused with Gaillac in the Tarn (entry 8).
