What happened

Masse said he found an object shaped like a rugby ball, about the size of a Renault Dauphine, resting on legs in his field, with two small figures beside it. One pointed a tube at him and he could not move. The object left, and the soil where it stood later hardened. AFP's report two days later already used the rugby-ball comparison. Aimé Michel showed Masse a drawing of the Socorro object, and Masse said it matched. Masse stood by the account until his death in 2004.
