What happened

Driving to Oakland, the family saw a group of bright objects. Newhouse filmed them and said they were "shaped like two saucers, one inverted on top of the other," as long as wide and thin. Navy analysts could not identify them. The CIA-sponsored Robertson Panel in 1953 suggested seagulls, a view the Condon study later shared.
