What happened
Hughes says he secured the data recorders from the E-2C Hawkeye that flew during the intercept, and that his commanding officer and two unfamiliar men then took them. He also says a friend in the Hawkeye crew saw the object and later signed a non-disclosure agreement. That part is secondhand.
