What happened

Security personnel entered the forest after seeing lights. Lt. Col. Charles Halt's memo to the MoD said the object "was described as being metallic in appearance and triangular in shape," about two to three meters across the base. Penniston's account of approaching a small triangular craft is the centre of the case. Skeptics, notably Ian Ridpath, attribute the lights to the Orford Ness lighthouse and bright stars.
