What happened
On patrol on February 17, the officer saw a diamond-shaped object with multicolored lights for about 10 minutes, moving fast in several directions before disappearing. Two nights later, during a training debrief near the station, he and two colleagues watched an object with rapidly changing "tie-dye" lighting for about 90 minutes. They described it as looking like a diagram of an atom, with six lit circles around it, and said it skipped across the sky like a stone. The officer filmed it with an iPhone held to binoculars; the result was blurry. He reported it to Americans for Safe Aerospace, Ryan Graves's nonprofit, which passed it to the FBI. The Anoka police chief confirmed at least one witness was an officer.
