What happened

Barton responded to a call that began with trucker Melvern Noll, 66, who had described a rectangular object with lit "windows." Barton himself described a "massive, elongated, narrow triangle," longer than it was wide, with a white light at each corner, 1,000-1,500 ft up, and a faint low buzzing. The FAA said the reports may have come from an American Blimp Company advertising blimp, and Skeptoid argues the same. NIDS reached no definite conclusion.

Witnesses

Officer Ed Barton, Lebanon (IL) Police Department
