What happened

From the parking lot behind the police station, McDowell saw five large discs east of the city, two heading south and three east. He notified police radio, which broadcast an all-car alert, and two patrol cars then radioed that they were watching discs. Witnesses described a wobbling motion, sharp turns and no vapor trail. Army Air Forces files list it as Incident 5.
