What happened

While tracking a weather balloon, the crew saw a white, rounded ellipsoid about two and a half times as long as it was wide. A balloon crew, watching its own balloon at the time, is about as well placed as any witness to rule out a balloon.

Witnesses

C. B. Moore, General Mills meteorologist and balloon expert, with his launch crew
