"fireworks"; three bright points in a triangle"The witness's own shape words

What happened

On the way out, Schmitt described particles drifting outside like "fireworks" and suggested several were the S-IVB or SLA panels. A crew photograph released by the Pentagon on May 8, 2026 shows three bright points arranged in a triangle above a lunar mountain range. The Pentagon's note says there is no consensus on the anomaly, though preliminary analysis suggests a physical object. Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb has warned that such spots on Apollo film may be cosmic-ray hits rather than objects.
