What happened
A shiny aluminum object shaped roughly like an aircraft propeller, with 10-12 small cups sticking out of each blade, about 6-8 ft long and 1.5-2 ft wide, glided across the road a few hundred feet ahead of their vehicle and seemed to come down in a wooded area. A few seconds.
