What happened

The colonels saw three objects they first took for F-86s flying in a V. Up close they were bright silver "delta wing craft with no tails," each with a ridge from nose to tail. The objects banked and passed the B-25 at about three times F-86 speed. Edward Ruppelt found no matching aircraft and Blue Book filed it as "Unknown" (#1584); Ruppelt listed unlogged F-86s or error as possibilities.
